Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Scripture Memory ("the app," "we," "us") is produced by James DeGreef and Ochorus Book Ministries. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address (used to sign in) and, optionally, a display name.
- Preferences: your chosen language, time zone, preferred Bible version, and reminder settings.
- Your content: the passages you save to memorize and your review history (used to schedule reviews).
- Notification data: if you enable reminders, a browser push subscription for the device(s) you opt in.
We do not collect payment information, and we do not use advertising or sell your personal data to anyone.
How we use it
- To provide the service — saving passages, scheduling reviews, and reading or searching Scripture.
- To send the review reminders you have opted into.
- To keep the app secure and working correctly.
Service providers
We rely on a few providers to run the app: Supabase (authentication and database hosting) and Render (application hosting). Your data is stored on their infrastructure solely to operate Scripture Memory.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. This action cannot be undone.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
